Meeting point: Corner of Lovegrove drive and Smith Street on 12/10/19 at 15:00. This is subject to change based on how many cars will be coming etc.

Meet on the side of the road at 1500, have a quick pre-trip chat. Will make our way via the railway line and make our way up through the west macs, up through the side scraper and down over to the widow maker. Depending on the amount of people will depend on how long the trip to widow makers will take. Have not done the track in a while, so am not sure on conditions. From last trip I did in a slightly higher clearance 4×4 would probably be advised.

From there we can have a play on the widow maker and depending on numbers and discussions a BBQ can happen (will bring BBQ) and will watch the sunset over a couple of beers and dinner. Sober bob is a must 😃 Those of you who do not wish to do the full trip may join us at the widow makers for dinner.

We will then make our way home and out via Flynns Grave and part ways as we see fit.

Please bring
Plenty of water, sun screen, a hat and basic recovery equipment.

Discussions on the page can happen in regards to meals but was thinking that we all can BYO drinks, meat, cutlery and chair etc, and can all bring a salad to share. I will bring the BBQ.”
