The club received the following request for help (one more volunteer needed, more welcome):

From the team of rangers here at the Telegraph Station, we were wondering if any of your 4WD Club Members might be interested in assisting us in our Open Day and Markets which are coming up later this month on Saturday the 25th May 10:00am – 1:00pm.

Last year we had a few volunteers from Parks making damper in our historic buildings at the old kitchen and this turned out to be quite a hit with the visitors!

However, this year we are a little short-staffed. As such, we would love it if one or two people from your club might like to be involved in making the damper for a couple of hours during the morning?

We will provide all the ingredients and cooking facilities and we’d be more than happy to do a ‘run-through’ prior to the day. Also, one of our rangers will be able to assist on-and-off during the morning.

We’ll also provide morning tea (if they aren’t full already from all the damper and jam!).
