Event: Tennant Creek Rodeo

Date: 6-7 October 2018

Details: We will meet at Hungry Jacks for a prompt 10 am start and head north toward Tennant Creek stopping at Wycliffe Well for lunch. It is approximately a 500km drive to Tennant Creek and will take about 6 hours depending on how many stops we make along the way. For those who have never ventured up that way, we can also stop in at the Devils Marbles.

The rodeo starts at 5.30pm with BBQ, food and drink stalls plus bar and music. The cost of the event is $5 per adult (children are free). The event is located at the Tennant Creek Rodeo Grounds.

Please book your own accommodation. There are a few motels in town or you can book a camp site at the caravan park. I am not sure if there are any free camping places.

We will drive back to Alice the following day in convoy, departing at a time and place agreed by everyone.

There is phone reception along the way, but it is quite sporadic. In the event of a medical emergency, the trip leaders are first aid and remote area first aid qualified.
