There will be a longer camping trip for Easter 24 also posted in due course to Old Police Station Waterhole for those wanting a great adventure into the Davenport Ranges.
This trip will be the first Gemtree Camp Oven Dinner for the 2024 season. Cabins, Donga Beds, Swags, Campers, Caravans all possible.
Muster past Heavitree Gap Servo at 10.00 am on Good Friday for a 10.15 am depart.
Travel via Ross Highway to Arltunga, airing down at the turn-off. Visit Ruins &/or Gravesites at the Gold Mines & first Central Australia settlement. Lunch at Hale River Homestead, BYO or purchase lunch, Bar open.
Then progress along the Binns Track through the Gemfields to Gemtree.
Camp, Campfire, BYO or purchase Dinner, & Breakfast, Saturday, relax & chill, maybe book a Guided Fossicking Tour. then the Gemtree Camp Oven Dinner, Bar open. Return to Campfire or retire.
Sunday, slow & easy start, head home via the Plenty & Stuart Highways.
Please book your Camp Oven Dinner & Accommodation preference with Gemtree.
Pets are welcomed at Gemtree, leashed at the Roadhouse, must remain in the vehicle at Hale River Homestead.
