We’re meeting at Hungry Jacks at 9am, for a 9:15am departure.

Our plan is to check out some tracks behind the MacDonnell Ranges first. There’s a few tracks that lead to Catchment/Water run-off/Little Rockpools at the base of the Ranges.

Then, depending on how the group feels we might continue on down to either Rainbow Valley or John Hayes Rockholes for lunch.

BYO lunch, snacks, water, swimmers just in case (if you’re so inclined).

Expected km for the day, less then 350km (worst case).

Ensure you have recovery points on your vehicle, or inform the trip leader if you don’t. Carry your own recovery equipment (UHF, shovel, air compressor, tyre deflators, snatch strap, etc.) Always be prepared with a full tank of fuel.
