Time zone: Darwin
Reminder: None
Ends: 06:00pm (duration is about 10 hours)

Trip Leader: Roger Wileman

Meet at Heavy Tree Gap servo at 08:30 for a prompt 09:00am start. It is approx. 160km south of Alice Springs via Old South Road. The road is mostly gravel and can become quite corrugated.

Should get to Chambers Pillar just before lunchtime. We can get there, have lunch (which is a BYO nature), and a plan to do a few of the walks around the place. Activities to be decided depending on the flow of the day.

Facilities: There are toilets, picnic areas, and fire pits out there. You will need to bring your own gas stove if cooking by stove top.

Pets are not permitted. And we must bring our own firewood, as collection is not permitted on the reserve.
In the afternoon head back to Alice after all is done.

Please ensure you have enough fuel and water for the trip. BYO food, water, UHF, chairs, medical kit etc.

Location

Chambers Pillar, Hugh NT 0872, Australia
