What a fantastic day out for our Come to Dinner – Outback Edition adventure to Arltunga.
It was great to see such a diverse group of people come together, with locals, new residents and families all sharing the experience of exploring one of Central Australia's most unique destinations. These events are about more than just a day trip—they're about creating connections, building friendships and helping people feel part of our community.
Travelling convoy-style through the East Macs, run and led by the Outback 4WD Club, the group visited the Arltunga Visitor Information Centre to learn about the region's fascinating gold mining history before enjoying a relaxed lunch at the Arltunga Bush Pub & Eco Retreat. With a steak barbecue, vegan options and plenty of time to sit on the veranda, wander the grounds and hear stories about Territory life and the restoration of the pub, there was something for everyone.
A huge thank you goes to the volunteers from the Outback 4WD Club, who once again helped make the day run smoothly and safely. Their willingness to give their time and vehicles to support community events continues to make opportunities like this possible.
Thank you as well to everyone who came along, shared stories, met someone new and embraced the spirit of the day. It was wonderful to see so many conversations happening and new friendships forming.
We are already looking forward to the next adventure.
