10 vehicles & 32 people mustered at Heavitree Gap at 1000 hrs on Saturday 23rd September for a leisurely drive, airing down where we joined the Binns Track, inspected Arltunga pub, Ruins & Police Station then onto Hale River for lunch then through the gemfields to Gemtree for dinner. We all had dinner delivered to the camp-site & an enjoyable evening ensued around the campfire. On Sunday we aired up & vehicles departed when ready with a small convoy bringing up the tail.
