The plan was to leave Alice Springs on Saturday 30th April & cross the Simpson Desert via the French Line with some diversions. Howevr the flooding east of Dalhousie precluded that route in our time frames so a hastily changed plan ith permissions & exemptions allowed us to travel north then down the Hay River Track. Overall there were 6 vehicles & 11 people, 8 days, 2,200 km, with many more traveled by Bernhard & Uri. The weather was perfect the experience awesome, & the group fantastic. The leader had some engine issues, but otherwise the trip went according to plan. More will be added to the report.
