meeting at Stephens Rd. With a new member and a few I haven’t seen for a while we all met up. A quick let down of the tires for some and a quick meet we all set off.

first turn of the day we could no go down due to a big washout, a little bit of reversing and another track is found. Continuing on down the road. A little while down the road a quick lesson into the different modes of 4×4 in the old pajero was required. Once lesson done, on we continued.

First to arrive at tin can hill. had a bit of a park up and a few of us checked out the track. Only one of us actually decided to attempt tin can hill, others were not so keen. Yours truly stepped up to the challenge along with new member Jason riding shotgun to play photographer and Mike spotting up the top and to a surprise all was done with relative ease. A quick 4 point turn and back down tin can hill we went.

Continuing on we made our way to Undoolya rd then onto the Pot Belly lookout. When we got to the bottom a few members decided they didn’t want too many challenges for the day and opted to gome home and have a cup of tea. Whilst the others got out to check and see which line is easiest. Turns out left line is still easier but only just.

After a quick discussion of lines yours truly went first. A little bit of momentum and all was good. Next is a silver pajero, through with relative ease. A certain black Pajero set off. Little bit of wheelspin at the start backed up and had a second go. After a certain wombat hole and rock step decided to pose a challenge for the new guy with wheel spinning and no movement forward. after getting him up on the rock step the wombat hole had decided to not allow momentum forward, despite a little bit of rock packing. So a little tiny tug on the snatch strap he was up. A little lesson about picking your line is learnt today.

Despite a minor scare with a possible CV (no damage to day) onward and upwards. Up the top a few photo opportunities and a bit a chat about previous trips and the area presented itself. After this we continued to make our way down the other side of the hill back around and headed back home.

from here the trip had ended but a few decided a beer was needed to end the day.
