Trip Plan – Harts Range Bush Sports Weekend
Dates Saturday 3rd August – Monday 5th August (Picnic day public holiday).

Saturday 3rd August
08:45 –Meet at Shell north end truck-stop.
09.00 –Depart Alice Springs to Harts Range (215 km drive all black-top)
11:00/11:30 –Arrive Harts Range Races
Set up camp, Make/buy lunch. (Canteen is available 7am-9pm)
These times are based on last years program as this years hasn’t been released yet.
13.00-19:00 –Rodeo events
7:00pm to 1:00am Black tie ball for those interested – theme is “Op Shop Formal”
Admission: $5.00 per head.
Gentlemen must wear a tie.
Alcohol is BYO only – no bar.
Sunday 4th August
09:30-12:00 family events tug a war. Scramble etc.
13:00pm to 17:00pm RODEO EVENTS finals
7:00pm to 12:00am for anyone interested- Dance at hall and talent quest with Karaoke. Admission: Free.
Otherwise meal and drinks around the fire.
Monday 5th August
09.00 –Depart harts range and drive back to Alice Springs. Maybe stop at Gemtree for snack/fuel/ice-cream along the way.

ENTRY FEES – $30/adult/weekend or $15/adult/day ticket.
Children under 16years are free.
CAMPING FEE – ‘Camping with Amenities’ – $10/car.

DANCE Admission: $5.00 (covers both Saturday and Sunday Dances).
Non-powered camp sites – showers and toilets provided.
Hot BBQ meals 8:00am to 10:00pm, provided by local volunteer group – ICPA (Isolated Children’s Parents Assoc) – steak, sausage, hamburger, bacon and egg sandwiches, hot chips, drinks, cold sandwiches, cakes, chocolate bars, lollies, ice-creams).
No fuel, cigarettes or matches sold – see Atitjere Store.
No EFTPOS. See Atitjere Store details (below).
Health Clinic at Atitjere Community – Turn right 2km east of Racecourse turnoff and head south for another 2km. St John’s will also be in attendance at the Racecourse all weekend for emergencies only.
Police at Plenty Highway, 1km east of the Racecourse turnoff, and/or on duty at the racecourse.
No alcohol sold at racecourse or to be taken into the Atitjere Community area.
BYO from Alice Springs.
We prefer no dogs.
NO FIREWORKS – PENALITIES APPLY.
