The trip will be run with the option of a day trip lead by James returning to Alice Springs after lunch via the Arltunga Tourist drive. This trip will cover approx 250km. Or an overnight trip lead by Bernhard camping or staying at the accommodation at Hale River Homestead. This trip will cover approximately 275kms.
Please meet at the United Servo just south of Heavy Tree Gap.
For those who need to sign up to guest membership please be there at 9:45. Everyone els 10:00 for a short trip briefing and a punctual departure at 10.15.

The Plan is to stop at the old gold mining ruins of the Altunga Histoical Reserve for an explore around. Then we will continue on to the Homestead the club will provide BBQ lunch.
we encourage buying your drinks, ice creams etc from the bar to support the homestead and them letting us use their facilities.

If you intend to stay the night please make individual arrangements with the homestead for accommodation and meal reservations.

We can spent the rest of the day going to the outlook or lake (should there still be water) and hang out in the pool.
The next morning after breakfast, which can be ordered from the homestead or cooked individually, we start our drive back. For people being interested we can go to Ruby gap.

Should you be interested in the Ruby Gap extension, please bring recovery gear. This includes a long handle shovel and a snatch strap. The club has maxtraxs.
