Palm Valley

Leaving not soon after 2pm. Keeping a mild pace till we reached the hermansburg turn off.
Seeing as we had a visitor joining us we decided to do a quick drive past the historic precinct for a quick look at a little history, with Eric offering a few little history lessons of the area.

Onwards we went into palm valley. Corrugated road but eventually we got in. With yours truly loosing a shovel and found by Ian on the way in. Seeing as we were still a little early we decided to drive partly way into the actual valley itself. Turning around when time was up before we went back to the camp ground for a quick meal before making our way to the desired place of the visiting photographer.

Thanks to Leo and his trusty cooker (after the park ones were out of order) we made our way back to the look out. Beginning the walk where Leo and Ian decided to stay behind we made out way up. With a little lizard deciding to say hello on our way up. We made to the top to be greated with some stunning scenery.

Way back down and back on the road we went just before dark (hoping to get on the main road by dark). On the way back, yours truly very quickly came across the first giant worm. A black headed python spotted going across the road. Seeing as everyone was a little way behind because of dust I tried to catch a photo, with only managing to get the tail.

Onwards we went. A few more snakes sighted next with both on the highway. Travelling back in the dark with a very quiet yet pleasant drive.
