Trip Report: Blue Moon

We met at Hungry Jacks at 18.15 hrs when it decided to rain. Shortly after a few people had arrived, in drove Leo in his little yellow Jeep sheltered from the rain only by an umbrella and a hat! Jeeping aussie redneck style – onya Leo! J

We had known the shitty weather might be a possibility prior to the trip, and so, we decided not to let it rain on our parade. We took off to the pot belly lookout around the back way through the rain until we reached the top of the lookout. By then the rain had cleared up and we were greeted by a beautiful sunset.

We did not view the initial moon rise due to significant cloud cover, however, it became visible after 20.00 hrs. Some of us took photos, others were content just watching, but all in all, it was great to have so many people from the Club join us and catch up for a chat.
